The daily rental of a property for filming can be comparable to the monthly rental of that property, but this of course depends on various factors. The price will vary depending on the type of filming, whether it is interior or exterior scenes, and the length of the shoot, which may depend on the specific needs of the production.
If you rent out a property for a full day of filming, which usually lasts 12 to 14 hours, you can expect to earn income similar to the monthly rent for that property. Of course, this all depends on the specifications of the shoot and the agreement with the production team. The income can increase if it comes to more specific scenarios.
It is also important to consider other factors, such as preparation days and clean-up after filming, as these can also affect the final amount you will receive. Here you can rely on Filmprop.si, where location experts will help you determine a fair and competitive price for your property and facilitate the entire process of collaborating with production teams.

Earnings from renting out vehicles to the film industry can vary greatly, depending on the type of vehicle, its rarity, duration of use, and filming requirements.
Background vehicles, meaning those we see on the road every day, are typically used only as parked cars in the background of scenes. These vehicles are often parked on the street, in front of a house, or as part of a convoy, and are usually needed for just one scene, which means about 3 to 4 hours of work. The price for this type of vehicle use is typically around 100 euros.
When it comes to vintage cars, however, the prices are much higher. For more common vintage cars, the price starts at around 200 euros per day, while for rarer and luxury vehicles, the price can reach 500 euros or more per day. It is important to emphasize that these prices are only approximate and can be adjusted according to the specific requirements of the production. The actual prices depend on many factors, such as the duration of the shooting, the type of shooting (film, commercial, series) and the budget available to the production. For Slovenian productions, these budgets are often lower, which affects the final price of the vehicle rental. All prices are always subject to agreement between the vehicle owner and the production team. Here you can rely on Filmprop.si, where we will help you determine a fair and competitive price for your vehicle and facilitate the entire process of cooperation with production teams.

Renting props and technical equipment for film productions can be very lucrative, but prices are usually adjusted to the needs of the production and the type of equipment you offer. The price for renting an individual prop is often comparable to its selling price, as productions usually do not have enough space to store props. Therefore, they prefer to rent them rather than buy them. Prices for props can vary greatly, depending on the type and rarity of the item, as well as how long the production will need it. For technical equipment, prices are often set based on the price lists of major technical equipment providers. However, actual prices can be adjusted to the needs of the production, budget and specific filming requirements. For larger productions, the prices of technical equipment are usually higher, while for smaller productions, such as student projects or small commercials, we can expect lower prices. All prices are usually subject to negotiation and depend heavily on the budget available to the production. For Slovenian productions, these budgets are often lower, which means that prices for renting props and equipment can be adjusted according to local conditions. In any case, you can rely on Filmprop.si to get a fair price that will meet your needs and production capabilities.

Renting out your home for filming can be a great way to make extra money, but it's important to be well-prepared. It's important to understand the entire process and the roles and responsibilities of both you and the production team. If you're new to filming productions, your first major shoot can be overwhelming.
The production team will visit the location at least twice before filming. The first viewing with the director usually takes place about 14 days before filming and includes about six people. The second viewing with the heads of technical departments follows a few days before filming. During these viewings, the property owner, a Filmprop.si representative and the team agree in detail on the interventions in the location, what is allowed and what can be changed. These viewings usually last a few hours. (approximately 2-3 hours)
As mentioned, a Filmprop.si representative is also present at the viewings in the role of Location Manager. His task is to present the director's requirements and proposed interventions in the location to the property owner, and on the day of filming, ensure a smooth process and compliance with the rules agreed upon during the viewings.
In the production industry, it is a common expectation that the crew will leave the property in the same condition they found it. The art department and location crew meticulously paint the property before filming so that they can put everything back in its place after filming. The production is also required to hire a cleaning service to ensure that everything is spotless after filming is complete – exactly as it was before. Trust us, because it’s the details that count.
If you decide to rent out your home for a major shoot, this may also include set-up and wrap-up days. The day before the shoot, furniture is usually moved, props are set up, and the space is prepared. After the shoot, everything is returned to its original condition. These set-up and wrap-up days are usually charged a slightly lower amount than the day of the shoot, but it is always a matter of negotiation.

Renting out vehicles to film productions can be a good source of income, but it is crucial that you prepare well before filming and have all the necessary information about what will happen to your vehicle.
Before filming, the production team will usually inspect your vehicle to agree on any adjustments and modifications, such as removing stickers or installing cameras. The vehicle owner must be clear about what is and is not allowed, and what modifications are acceptable. The inspection will usually take place a few days before filming, in the presence of a vehicle coordinator appointed by Filmprop.si. The duration of the inspection can range from 15 minutes to one hour, depending on the complexity of the adjustments and preparations. After filming, it is expected that the vehicle will be returned to its original condition. As the vehicle owner, you will be in constant contact with the vehicle coordinator or the set design team, who will ensure that the filming runs smoothly and that your vehicle is treated with all due care and respect. It is recommended that the vehicle owner is also present during filming, as this will allow you to monitor that everything is carried out in accordance with your wishes and the agreed rules.
It is very important to take detailed photos of vehicles and props before renting them to document any existing damage. This will give you clear evidence of the condition prior to rental and can help prevent misunderstandings if damage occurs during filming. These photos are also useful if you need to claim insurance or a damage deposit. All key points that could potentially be damaged should be photographed, including minor scratches or other damage.
Don't think your vehicle will be driven like in an action movie. Far from it. Usually the vehicle is parked on the street, in front of the house, and serves only as part of the scene during filming.

Of course! You can offer the entire property, a single room or just the courtyard of the property. It is important to clearly state in your application which part of your property is available for rent to avoid any misunderstandings.

If a vehicle, prop or property is accidentally damaged during filming, there is usually a pre-agreed procedure for how such situations will be handled. Every property, vehicle and prop is fully insured under production insurance. Fortunately, such incidents are very rare in the production world, as we treat them with the utmost care and respect. We only work with productions that have full insurance. We will also provide you with a copy of the production insurance policy upon request. However, if damage does occur, the production will assume responsibility and cover the cost of repairing or replacing the damaged items, either through the insurance amount or by using a security deposit. It is important that all vehicles, props and properties are thoroughly photographed before filming to document any existing damage. This will give you clear evidence of the condition before the broadcast, which will prevent misunderstandings if damage occurs during filming. These photos are also crucial in the event that insurance or a security deposit need to be invoked to repair the damage. All key points that could potentially be damaged, including minor scratches or other damage, should be photographed. This ensures fairness and transparency in any potential damage that may occur during filming.

Every rental through Filmprop.si includes a charitable contribution to the Association Zveza prijateljev mladine. At the end of the year, we will jointly choose a family to help with these funds.
The film production company transfers a certain amount directly to the account of Zveza prijateljev mladine Association with each rental. They can also decide to add up the amounts and then transfer them at the end of the year.
The minimum amounts allocated for charitable purposes are as follows:
When renting a property: 50 euros
When renting luxury and rare vehicles or boats: 25 euros
When renting vintage, electric or serviced vehicles: 10 euros
When renting vehicles in the background: 5 euros
For each prop rental: 1 euro
In addition, Filmprop.si adds an additional euro to the charity fund for each rental.
Owners of vehicles, real estate, props, and other items have the option to waive part or all of their payment and donate them to charity.
The amounts listed above are minimums, so that in agreement with the production we can also contribute higher amounts and thus together create even greater help for those in need.

Productions can easily find the desired props, vehicles or properties on the portal using filters that allow searching by category, period and other criteria. When selecting an object, they submit an inquiry, stating the details of the project, the duration of the rental and any special requirements. Our team sends additional photos of the product if necessary for a better presentation. Then it checks availability and coordinates all details with the owner of the object. After confirming the conditions, a contract is signed, and we take care of organizing the pick-up, return and possible logistics. The entire process is designed to be simple and tailored to the needs of productions. When renting real estate, the founder of Filmprop.si takes on the role of location manager, while when renting vehicles, he takes care of coordination and contact with the owners, so that everything runs smoothly and without problems.
